Cancellation by MTBM

The holidays offered on the website of MTBM are bound to a minimum number of participants from 13 persons per week. MTBM reserves the right to cancel a holiday if the minimum number of participants is not reached. When forced to cancel the trip MTBM will contact the participants no later than 3 weeks before the start of the booked trip. MTBM will always offer an alternative date and will fully refund all payments made by the participant.

MTBM cannot be held liable for any personal injury, damage or theft, incurred by or during participation in the offered vacations, uplifts, activities by MTBM or activities posted by MTBM from third parties. The participant is aware that mountain biking is an activity with risks.

Travel and medical insurance

Comprehensive Medical Insurance (covering aircraft evacuation) is mandatory on all MTBM trips. Our trips take place in wilderness areas where there is often little access to normal medical services or hospital facilities. Where necessary, evacuation can be difficult and expensive. Medical and evacuation expenses will be the responsibility of the participant. Trip participants are responsible for purchasing medical insurance.

Responsibilities of trip participants

Trip participants have a certain responsibility to MTBM and other trip participants. Trip participants are responsible for: understanding the conditions implied in the Trip Itinerary, selecting a trip that is appropriate to their interests and abilities, preparing for the trip accordingly and having the proper bike and equipment needed for the selected trip. A participant may be asked to leave a trip if the leader feels that the person’s continued participation may prove detrimental to the individual or to the well-being and enjoyment of other guests.

Minimum age

Persons must be 18 years or older in order to participate on any MTBM activities.
